Man beheads his two children in bizarre Bomet killing

Police in Tach Asis area in Konoin, Bomet County, are holding a man in custody following a horrifying incident where the 35-year-old is said to have killed his two children by beheading them.

Bomet County Police Commander Edward Imbwaga confirmed that the suspect, Geoffrey Kipkemoi, is thought to have used a kitchen knife to carry out the brutal act.

After the incident, the bodies of the young victims, aged 2 and 7, were reportedly found inside the kitchen.

According to a police report, the suspect's wife was away from home when the tragic incident occurred.

Upon returning, she stumbled upon the grim scene after tracing a trail of blood that led her to the kitchen, where she made the devastating discovery and immediately notified the police.

Officers who arrived at the scene processed the area and recovered the knife believed to have been used in the killings. The bodies of the children were later taken to Kapkatet Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

The suspect was arrested shortly afterward and is currently being held in police custody as investigations into the matter continue.
